Everyone needs a good, solid chocolate chip cookie recipe. If you don’t have one yet, look no further! This M&M cookies recipe is another one that has been in my family since before my time. It is quick, easy and most important……they taste amazing!
If you have read any of my other recipes (or craft projects), it is no secret that I like creating things that are versatile. These cookies are no different. You can make them for any holiday or special occasion and all you need to do is change up the M&M colors!
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening (use Crisco)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups M&M's
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cream sugars, Crisco, vanilla and eggs.
- Add flour, salt and baking soda.
- Add M&M's.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. Do not over bake the cookies. It is better to have them on the very light brown side than too dark.
